Ski Teams

Race team kids will train to compete in the Far West Central Series. While on the race team, skiers will train for competing in slalom, giant slalom, and super giant slalom (U12 & U14 only).

Age Divisions:

U10    Under 10 years old
U12    10-11 years old
U14    12-13 years old

Helmets: Helmets are mandatory for all racers. U14 racers have special helmet and ski requirements. Please see the race team coach for more information.

The focus of the Developmental Team (D-Team) is to work on developing the skills needed for ski racing. The emphasis of the D-Team coaches is to provide a fun learning environment for kids that are not yet ready for Central Series racing. USSS/Far West membership is not required for D-Team participation. Ultimately, the D-Team participants should transition to Central Series racing. We sincerely ask that D-Team skiers are able to load and unload the chairlift with WITHOUT assistance.

Training: Day/Time is TBD. Training for the D-Team will start in January 2026 (weather permitting). Please check with the D-Team coach for a complete schedule.

Helmets: Helmets are mandatory for all D-Team skiers.
