Hockey Team

Interested in learning the basic skills of hockey? If so, The Yosemite Winter Club Hockey Program will be teaching basic hockey skills for the 2008-2009 winter season.

Lessons will start December 4th providing the ice rink is open. 

We also have scrimmage nights for folks whom have completed the program. If you already have good strong skills you can probably pass the test in a night or 2 and play. Scrimmage will start December 2.

You may sign up at any time by joining the Yosemite Winter Club and the Ice Skating Institute.

• Basic Hockey lessons will be every Thursday night from 6-7 p.m., excluding December 25 and January 1. You must be at least 5 years old at the time of sign up, be able to skate forward in control and be a member of the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) and the Winter Club. Hockey players will also need to provide their own hockey skates, full face, helmet, gloves and a stick for classes. Other gear may be required as students advance.
• Those who completed last year’s Hockey Program can sign-up for Scrimmage Nights as well: Tuesday and Friday nights 6-7 p.m.excluding holidays.

You must join the Yosemite Winter Club ( Adults $15/Children $10), the Ice Skating Institute ($13) and fill out the YWC Release of Liability and the DNC Release of Liability.

We stronly encourage you to sigen up online but if you can't sign up for either Basic Skating and/or Hockey Lessons will be:

• Tuesday, November 18th, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the El Portal Community Hall.
• Thursday, November 20th, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Loft in Yosemite Village.
